“Learn to Give that Which you Seek” – Deepak Chopra
It’s that TINY little shift of energy within you.. the one you never paid much attention to….when you are doing something ordinary.. making breakfast.. driving.. at work.. ..the one where you start to sing along when a song comes on the radio ♫♪♫…and you start tapping your feet and smiling..
Can you remember it now? Yep.. thats the one.. and then suddenly like the clouds parting, everything seems more clear and bright, and makes a lot more sense.. and you find hope and light and love again..
How to get their? Start with hope.. the voice of hope speaking within you.. a voice of guidance asking you smile and laugh and tap your feet.. hope is asking you first to believe, to dream, to never give up…. an once you let it speak to you.. the voice will change… and reflect the new you.. and then your world will change.. one tiny shift at a time..
See it on Facebook here.
The Cold Within
Six humans trapped by happenstance
In bleak and bitter cold.
Each one possessed a stick of wood
Or so the story’s told.
Their dying fire in need of logs
The first man held his back
For of the faces round the fire
He noticed one was black.
The next man looking ‘cross the way
Saw one not of his church
And couldn’t bring himself to give
The fire his stick of birch.
The third one sat in tattered clothes.
He gave his coat a hitch.
Why should his log be put to use
To warm the idle rich?
The rich man just sat back and thought
Of the wealth he had in store
And how to keep what he had earned
From the lazy shiftless poor.
The black man’s face bespoke revenge
As the fire passed from his sight.
For all he saw in his stick of wood
Was a chance to spite the white.
The last man of this forlorn group
Did nought except for gain.
Giving only to those who gave
Was how he played the game.
Their logs held tight in death’s still hands
Was proof of human sin.
They didn’t die from the cold without
They died from the cold within.

A recent discovery you might enjoy…Moojiji
“When you truly find love for others inside your heart, it is so empowering, so beautiful, because you are seeing with the eyes of God. There’s no selfishness there. Selfishness did not create this world. A great love and generosity did.”
Funny how sometimes, the teacher becomes the student, almost instantaneously..
I was commenting on someone’s Facebook post..
And so I decided to respond in my usual style.. to just type instinctively without judgement..
The moment I hit post.. I suddenly realized that I could use that same advice for myself.. reach calm waters. In fact, anybody could. Can you really solve a problem if it’s at the point of frustration? Does working harder and harder get you anywhere? Perhaps you need a break from the challenge. A break to go find joy and happiness elsewhere and then from that happier vibration, tackle the problem once again with a fresh perspective.
Here is a quick step strategy you might try if you have reached frustrated/broken/depressed:
- Put “the problem” on hold. Not forever.. just long enough for a mini-vacation.. It might be an hour, a day, a week, or a month. It might mean being away from someone temporarily. You get to decide how long the vacation is for.
- Go find some happy places in your life and promise yourself not to think of “the problem”. Just look for joy.
- Once you reach joy, try to remember the feeling.. capture it.. Write down what it feels like. Take photos.. record a video
- Once the vacation is over.. start with a blank sheet of paper, metaphorically speaking. Target the problem again, but do it a bit differently. At first, the instinct will be to go back into the lower vibration and energy pattern from before. It’s natural. But the moment you sense yourself easing into that pain, go and grab that happy moment you captured before. Mirror it. Make the happy moment indistinguishable from “the problem”. See “the problem” as solved. See it as done. See it as if you took a snapshot, just like your other happy moment.
By doing the above exercise, you are re-patterning and re-writing the story of “the problem”. You are giving yourself a chance to see “the problem” as solved and completed. You are able to see beyond the current difficulty, and see the finished outcome with a happier and more energetic vibe, and hopefully, will be able to de-construct the end result into an action plan you can follow now.
Let’s have a look at an example. I have two “problems” I’m dealing with right now. Relationships, and good health. My health is fine, I just don’t look good and feel good in my own skin. I want to look a lot better. I want to be able to take my shirt off on a beach and not feel like everyone is looking at me. I have definitely reached the stage of frustration and giving up.
Until writing this post, I have never considered that there is an energetic component to it. That from the happy places in my life (finance, hobbies, work to some degree) I’m feeling pretty darn content and satisfied that it’s going to be fine. Why can’t I use the same higher vibration to solve this other thing? Yeah! Why not? Of course I can!
Today for the first time, in regards to health, I am picturing the end result of fitness in a higher and happier vibration version of me. I see myself fit AND smiling and laughing.. (how I FEEL is the key to the answer), I can now more clearly see a path. Some dedication to a daily regimen is all I need. A walk or jog. Perhaps a change in my pantry (removing temptations) as well. If I can do that, and know the end reward is the same happy feeling I get playing snooker, or writing on my blog, then I can lose the weight and look fit.
I can do this!
See the future version of yourself visually AND emotionally. Attach a happy/proud/successful/loving emotion to that future picture. The emotional component of that future version of you is crucial.
Emotions attached to a goal/dream/desire allow them to reach deep into your consciousness and transform you. Once you see the future version of yourself in a higher vibration, you can then de-construct from that place into the present circumstances, and can then see a way out.

Discovered something useful tonight about vortex.. happiness..flow state..and the fragile and sensitive nature of it
I often go to play snooker (a billiards game) at the local pool hall. It’s a bigger table.. harder to play.. and requires more concentration. I get immense joy playing and competing, when I’m playing well. Its as close to meditation and flow state as I know (next to graphic/web design, my other happy place)…
I’m fully aware how to get into flow state in snooker and I know under what conditions I probably won’t as well (lots of distraction.. noise.. people). I played someone tonight who “turned me off” by his style.. mannerisms.. edicate…table manners. At first, I blamed him for my poor result. But then I realized he is trying to find his vortex/source/flow state as well..
I tried extra hard to lead by example… hoping it would have an effect on him. It didn’t.
But then I remember Hicks said something crucially important in regards to finding vortex: “OTHERS don’t need to do anything to help you.. you get to choose.. “.
During a break.. I went back inside looking for joy.. I tried to remember what about the game makes me truly happy and I stayed there in my mind.. and the result was wonderful.. I played well enough to win, not my best, but I enjoyed it because I found flow.. I stopped worrying about winning or losing.. but I won anyways.
I left the night feeling successful cause I found access to vortex even when the world around me was chaotic and full of interruption..I didn’t play to the standard I’m capable of.. but I left the place with a smile in my heart..
LESSON: The tiniest things can throw you off.. when you take your eyes of vortex/source for even a few minutes… Especially in activities where you think source doesn’t matter.. it always does.. always.. The experience tonight reminds me of the poem, “IF” by Rudyard Kipling (http://mayur.ca/if-by-rudyard-kipling/)
I think I need to pursue meditation…I heard it helps you stay inside throughout the day

“If we define authenticity as simply being your true self, then we really shouldn’t have to look for it in the first place. If we’re looking for it, then we’ve already lost it. And that is what we can call the paradox of authenticity.” – Jordan Harbinger
